Our Story
The Media Entrepreneurs Social Society — or The MESS, as we like to call it — was born out of a conversation over beers at Cairns Crocodiles in 2025. A few of us were talking shop, comparing notes and venting about the challenges of running independent media businesses.
What quickly became clear was that we weren’t alone — not in our frustrations, not in our willingness to work together and certainly not in our ambition to push the industry forward. It was time to create change…
